Please post some sound clips - that is my 'some day' amp right there.
On my first decent gig, supporting a pro band, the guitarist let me use his original 73x. I plugged my Ibanez tele into that thing and I declare I have not heard a more beautiful sound in my life. In my own stupid way, that's the tone I'm chasing.
    Give it socks lad.

+1 here: I would too be really interested in a review / soundclip.

I have the 1x12 Marshall 1974x,best amp ever and I've had them all.
The CLEAN sound of this thing with a classic TELE is out of this world,it's like they were made for each other.

Congrats. Marshall was good at finding good schemes....of course there are only so many ways to build an amp, right? I had never seen the schematic but found it at Dr. Tubes this morning. This one appears to be a take off on the Fender 5G9 Tremolux. Western Electric and Leo Fender....

So far, so good. It’s bigger and heavier than expected with the 2x12’s. It’s an amp you need to roll your guitar volume a lot. I like the non-tremolo side the best so far. More bass that I can live with.

Cool amp, better looking than the 1x12 IMO, but of course more to lug.
Interesting your comment that it has "more bass that I can live with".
The Lil Dawg Pug I have seems to lack bass with a Gold but of course has more bass with bassier speakers.
Is this one loaded with G12M20 Celestions?
I've run mine through one of those but the wattage rating is a little close, and that speaker isn't exactly the sound I'm looking for.
I bet a pair would be thick and huge sounding though.
Cuts the overall volume compared to Golds or Blues, which may be needed in most situations.
I have three 18 watters but two are TMB which I like better, though I'd love to have the real Marshall build in the classic cab.
