I am not a huge Queen fan, but my favorite song of theirs is ‘39. Maybe because it is a marked departure from their usual fare. It was written and sung by Brian May on “A Night At The Opera” LP. During this passed year, I was paying closer attention to the lyrics, and they were not making sense to me.

I Googled the song meaning (as I often do if the lyrics are cryptic), and I came up with this interpretation:

Now it makes a heck of a lot more sense to me. I had no idea that Brian May was an astrophysicist!
