Does anyone out there have the Cavalier 50's wind Strat pickups? If so, thoughts on them.

I'm putting together another partscaster. Looking at a 51/52 bridge and the 50's Strat middle and neck.

I already have a Deluxe Nashville with his Nashville Lion, SRV Tiger middle and Lion King neck.

Just want something with a little different flavor.

I can't recall any clips of the 50's.

I am going to talk to Rob, but was wondering if anyone already has those and what you think.

Does Rob have the ability to relic his pickups?

Ask for the nickle cover and play for about a year.... Mine took on this patina after about that long.... of course beer and sweat take their as toll as well.. Sorry my guitar is so filthy, still has “Pub dust” on it.. After only 2 years, the copper substrate layer was showing around the top edge where picks and things hit it. IMG_1824.JPG

Just got a response from Rob. He does not relic his pickups. Looking at the Ryu Hydra for an Esquire.

Great to see a thread about Rob's works. A local guy even mentioned him. I was at buddy's shop when this old guy took his truck for rails, access tonneau, and rack installation for kayak mount on his truck. He heard over about my other friend's needing pickup and he recommend Rob.

I tried the combination on my tele and was great (but no middle one, only the 50's Strat neck).
Rob builds great Strat pickups , too!!!

Rob's pickups are great, I have multiple tele sets and a strat set, even one of his guitars. He's also a really nice guy and always willing to help.

I have an SRV Tiger neck on one Tele paired with a Fat/Bakersfield. Plus an SRV Tiger neck on my Strat. Both sound great.

Just looking at a little more "jangle" with this new build.

    Thanks for your response!
