    I work K-9s and in almost every instance you have to grab the collar to get the dog to come off the bite. An angry and or scared cow isn't what you want to get close and personal with. I'm guessing the cop got kicked trying to get the dog to safety. Crazy story lol.

    We joked that my 120 pound GSD could drop a bull.

    Seems to me the K-9 did not get enough adequate training. Just a hunch.

    K-9 are awesome partners. Selfless and unconditional. I've never understood how someone could hurt or abandon one.

    Yup, I trained with some and their handlers during professional first responder training. Very impressive dogs.
