Is “Hack” an option?
Yes! That’s me too! Like a cough.
Wow, this is tough. The choices seem too limiting, but if you add more, it all gets too subjective, wishy washy and potentially meaningless.
Um, rock I guess.
I refuse to be labelled...
Probably should add Funk.
I was looking for Blooze (not that I play it) but didn't see it.
Is Untalented a legitimate category?
I went with folk since it’s the music I first remember hearing (and it’s actually a broader category than one might think). I’m influenced by many genres, especially traditional/roots music.
My playing is probably most influenced by delta blues, early rock, trad jazz and trad country, and least influenced by metal and classical.
One word? Sloppy.
I'm a banjoist, fer Dog's sake! On the guitar I don't play bluegrass, I play "old time" aka "string band"...similar to Norman Blake or Doc Watson.
If you limit me to electric guitar, I'd probably have to go with "Swing" or "early Jazz", maybe "early Rock" (like 50's and early 60's).
Otherwise, put me down as "crap" or "hack".
I voted soul, but old school R&B is what it really is.
Yep, me too- blues, rock, country, folk, and a touch of jazz...what floats to the surface at any given time kind of depends on the nature of the gig...
I was gonna say Funk too, but no one is playing it these days.
I would join a funk band in a heartbeat. Love the stuff.
Well, so far, we’re not a very religious group here.
Whether it’s worshipping God or marijuana.
I play blues/rock really... But since that wasn't an option I picked rock.
