That kinda sums it up. I know Lollars are the bees knees og P90s and have what Im looking for but would prefer a less expensive alternative.

I checked Bootstrap but they don't make humbucker sized P90s.

Any ideas?

Mojo Pickups and The Creamery in the UK both do hand wound HB sized P90s.
With the current $/£ exchange rate they might prove good value for money.

I like the look of Mojo's HB sized Staple P90...

Actually, Ive found the Lollar P90’s a bit too hi-fi. I was 50/50 on it, but it sounded great and made Epiphone 295 (Peerless Factory Korea) sound on par with my 330, so I kept it

The thing is, its not a “real” P90 if its not the right size/construction. Its just an approximation/emulation of the P90 tone but in a HB format. What makes a P90 a P90 is it’s construction and size. But with that said, some of the P90 in HB format pickups sound good and sounds like a P90 should, so try it!

For an affordable set, wolfetone is very good. Mean and meaner should get you there, but ask Wolfe Macleod if he can make you the Mean and Meaner set in HB Format. I wouldve changed the Lollars to Wolfetones if I was not lazy. Lol

I recently put an IronGear Alchemist 90 into a hollow-body. Cheap as soap but soundwise I can't wish more.
Tonerider Rebel 90 is in a same guitar on bridge position. I know it's not fair comparison but IronGear is better by a very slight margin.

SD P-Rails? Might also be pricey, but great tone and versatility benefits. I have some in a ‘69 SG.

Check out Bootstrap's HB90 Clean (or Mean) Set for Humbucker, I have a set and think they're great. This site won't let me post the link.
The construction does differ from a Gibson P-90 though

I have a Gibson P-94 in the neck position of my SG. It’s a p90 sound, but different from regular Gibson P90s. Smoother, maybe a little darker. If you’re looking for straight up P-90, maybe not the P-94.
