+1 on flip up arms. Also on high quality. Most of what they sell at Office Max, Costco, etc. become disappointing pretty quickly.

Look for used office furniture places. The foam they use in Herman Miller and the like is much denser and longer-lasting. I had the same office chair for 10 years at my last job and it was as good on the last day as on the first. I named it "Paradise," as in, "Another day in Paradise."

Aeron is good, but has its own feel, which some don't like. Don't get a knockoff Aeron unless you've checked out reviews thoroughly. Most are crap.

I always just go to Staples and sit in 'em all.

Note that while flip up arms limits you choices, they all come in a box with the arms not yet attached.
Some depend on the arms to hold the back but those tend to be the overstuffed CEO styles.

    Choose your weapon!

This one is neat, might replace my folding chair with it one day.... I did upgrade my folding chair with one of those as seen on tv bamboo fiber memory foam butt pads, so it’s kinda okish now.

I would suggest that you pay attention to the waterfall length. Meaning how much of the seat is supporting your legs up to your inside knees, before it drops off. Important for me because if the chair is short there...circulation will suffer.

Ideally I want my feet flat on the ground with the chair seat right up inside under my knee joints supporting all their weight and not pinching any nerves, arteries or cutting off circulation etc.
This helps circulation when you sit for extended time.

I bought one of these back in 2012. I had to replace the gas cylinder last year finally, but it’s still in daily use in my office. Earlier this year I bought another for the studio I liked the first one so much.

I’ll second the Herman Miller Aeron. Used my used guitar hunting skills to find a used one for $240 a few years back.

most of my folks have gotten rid of their chairs and have a rubber pad thing and a desk that rises, they like to stand most of the day now, and kind of bob and weave... We bought them new chairs with their new desks, I'll have to ask what brand the chairs were.. they were 2-300.00 each I think.

I'm confident that for $14.50 total it is best quality, after all it uses ergonomics and is very high-end:

"This upgraded game chair adopts environmentally friendly PU leather, a sponge made of high-density memory foam, and will not feel tired after sitting for a long time. Using ergonomics, the chair can rotate 360degrees and lie flat at 180 degrees. With footrest, adjustable armrest height, removable headrest and waist pad, so you can find the most comfortable angle, black and orange combination, and the design of the universal wheel, making the chair very high-end and practical"
