The Amber Drive is probably the best dirt pedal I've ever plugged into, so guilt is completely erased. They captured all the best of the Golden Cello and improved it perfectly to my ear with this Midas Touch mod. Deep Blue Delay is equally good. No remorse.

I was in the neighborhood, and shopped at an asian market yesterday! Totally un-planned on impulse. Made an awesome coconut curry with lemongrass, lime leaves, cool mushrooms and thai chilis! Kind of like an effects pedal in terms of flavor!

Seriously interesting flavor combo.

Went to my doctors appointment at the VA yesterday. Stopped at 3 pawnshops. They always have good stuff and great prices. I spent 0, zip, nada. The temptation was there.

I’m a sucker for a ‘deal’. Yesterday, an EHX B9 pedal popped up on sale used close to me. New, these are CDN$356, I grabbed mine for $125. No idea if I’ll ever use it.

I’m also going to buy a TC Electronic Hall of Fame Mini reverb pedal. For $40 used, it’ll be fun to try out the various TC reverbs, which apparently sound really good.

I was nickel and diming myself to death on overdrive pedals. Finally had enough of that and built a 5E3 kit. With the cab and speaker (Weber alnico Sig 12), I was in for about $650 total. Bam! The greatest overdrive ever IMO. Anything from a little touch sensitive hair to totally vicious ripping. And the unexpected bonus: fat gorgeous cleans.

Cry every day, or cry once and live happily ever after. That was in 2007, and it has been my only amp ever since.

I use an Ibanez one band parametric sometimes to voice it as a BF fender. My early 70s Vox wah with the wide open overdrive is psychotic.
