Hi guys, I would appreciate any ideas to make the fret marker dots
more visible in low light situations. I have had my tech drill out and replace with bigger dots,
but is there an easier way? Many Thanks for your thoughts!

I only use white on rosewood or black on maple plastic side dots because of the visibility issues I have had with pearl and other materials. You can make them bigger or use some stick on bigger dots to see if it helps. Dark stages and flashing lighting can be tough to see anything.

Other guitars were drilled. I have 2 new guitars and was hoping there is a easy, inexpensive way to make the the markers more visible.
I'd go with some type of reflective or glow in the dark tape/paint then. You could even make them large rectangles instead of small little dots. Doesn't have to be pretty if it's just tape

Danny Gatton knew.
Cubic Zirconium markers!
I'm going through this with a guitar that has none.
Didn't realize how much I depended on them!

Danny's were on the edge of the neck so they would reflect overhead stage lights, but there's no reason they couldn't be embedded in the center of the position dots on the fretboard. OP, your tech will have to drill. Nothing that is applied to the surface will last.

A buddy of mine uses finger nail polish but I would think the finish on the neck could be damaged.

Bout 20 years back a friend of mine built a guitar for a kid blues player with LEDs. I wasn't into the LEDs but the guitar was really nice. Ended up the kid blues player's dad (or whatever) signed an endorsement deal with Fender.
Personally I never look at the fret board markers when I play. That might explain why I don't have an endorsement deal with Fender.
