Anyone had a chance with both the joyo Jf-02 ultimate drive and the joyo sweet baby overdrive? How did they compare?

I have one of those too. It’s fine for my needs and cost like $25. Maybe if I had a Strymon I would hear the difference. But ignorance is bliss.

A Yellow Fall ended up replacing a used Memory Toy that just didn't cut the mustard. I also needed more space on my shortboard. That makes it a win/win.

Exactly the same here with my Memory Boy, although the Memory Boy’s been brought out for some more atmospheric stuff recently. The Yellow Fall has a slightly different tone to it.

I think that particular pedal is an OCD clone.

The delay is spot on for my playing. I remember putting the chorus through its paces on a number of "classic" chorus infused songs and didn't find it lacking, but then I'm not huge chorus guy. That high-gain section though is truly something special. Like a wounded, wild and hungry animal. Do you feel me? :)

I have two "cheap" Chinese pedals--a Caline Pure Sky overdrive (it is amazingly good for the price) and a Mooer Red Truck multi-effects I found second hand like new at a Music-Go-Round for $80. It's pretty good, but not as good as the Tech 21 FlyRig.

According to Donner via email, it's their take on a Triple Rectifier. I'd like to try the Alpha Cruncher too.

Try the Soul Food pedal, subtle but effective.

I like several of the Kokko pedals, the Mosky XP and the Mooer Black Secret. All very, very good.

I had both pedals at one point (2012-ish?). Totally different pedals. The Sweet Baby is a low gainer, and it has quite a bit of a bass cut, however it doesnt sound like a TS at all, being much more dynamic/pick sensite and reasonably uncompressed. The Ultimate Drive is capable of much more gain and can be quite dark it has a low end thump you cannot get rid of, unless you modify the pedal - what I did). It's more of a modern or even Marshall-esque sound. It can also be very dynamic if set to low gain, although a bit grainy to my ears.

I found the Memory Toy a touch too dark. I like the voicing of the Yellow Fall much better especially with dirt.

Moskey Blue Delay. The MM Silver OD is good too.

The Donner Yellow Fall is a great delay. I've been gigging with it for a few years now and it's held up. I tried a lot of different delays, some at much higher price points, and just liked the way the Yellow Fall sounds the best.
