..it may even have been "Fender Squier" badged...but, this was from the pre-modeling days for Fender , so before the Cybertwin etc came out...and, it was an analog, solid-state, smaller, practice-oriented amp, blackface cosmetics, and

It had a dial that you could turn for different sounds. "Country", "Blues", and some higher gain stuff, too.
And my recollection is that it actually sounded pretty decent.
I'd thought "Frontman", but it appears that's not correct.
    Anyone else remember these?
    Thanks

All I can think of is a ' Sidekick' name, but I don't think that's it-

    I had a Sidekick 10 as my I think 2nd amp. It wasn't bad!
But no, it didn't have that "genre" dial

I'm quite sure the amp in question had one of those "stroke the newbie's ego" names, like Frontman, Showman, Performer, Stagemaster...but it wasn't any of those actual names

I’m picturing some small combos from the red-knob era, the H.O.T. and the J.A.M., maybe? I’m thinking those had presets, but they were on pushbuttons, not knobs...?

Closest I can find is the Champion50XL, because of this

But I'm sure that is not the amp...

Nope, pretty sure it was earlier than that.
I had also thought maybe it was the Stage, but no, it was before all the DSP stuff came out , I'm pretty sure, although the knobs had a very similar layout

I think there was a Stage model before DSP, but I haven't found a good pic of the face.

This amp does operate in the digital domain as do most that have that many options for overdrive and effects.

yep, that's what I'd said, it seems close but it's from an earlier era, the one I'm thinking of
