Used to be sprite or ginger ale but since going off the sugared soda a lemon lime seltzer will do

With some ramen noodles maybe a poached egg thrown in there

I hope you feel better soon, I bet Sophie does too!

I like making chicken soup with bone in chicken thighs, celery, carrots and wide noodles. The problem is I hate cooking when I'm sick.
Instant pots are perfect for broth. You can clean it when you feel better. ;) I've got 2 chickens in my 8qt. If I make a risotto, I use my own brooth, same for soups. There is a few quarts in the freezer, so on the ready...

Hot and Sour sounds like a good idea.

For me, it's generally anything I really like to taste. Which is mostly stuff that I don't allow myself because it's not all that healthy. When I'm sick, I eat whatever makes me feel good.

The traditional chicken soup, but I'm totally down with hot and sour soup. My Sister In Law swears by it.

Feel better, old son.

Tom Yum with noodles perks me right up.
Tikka chicken thighs with my secret ingredient applied under the skins. Reaper jam. Carolina reaper jam gives a nice zing to tikka.
Oranges. I don't hold much about vit.C chasing colds/man-flu bugs off, but I do like an orange straight from the fridge.
Vegetables in sour black bean sauce.

Nothing, if I'm nauseous. If I'm getting over that, ginger ale and saltines. The ginger is supposedto settle your stomach.

Hot and sour soup have a fair bit of ginger, btw.

If it's fever, I lose my appetite.

Now hangovers...

My father was a Doctor and we always kept ginger ale in the fridge for these occasions!

When I'm sick with a fever and the chills, and I haven't eaten in two days, the ONLY thing I want to eat is Chinese hot and sour soup. It always perks me up and I feel better almost immediately. So I just ordered my usual, two large orders of hot and sour soup. What do you guys like when you're not feeling well? All suggestions and thoughts are welcome.

I love hot and sour soup, but it seems like no one serves it sour enough anymore. I find I have to perk it up a little with a dash of cider vinegar, or a squeeze of lemon.

Close to this for me--wonton soup with the little dumplings.

We have a local Thai place that we visit that has excellent hot and sour soup. I can see it being a go to for a head cold. But man, it sure gets hotter toward the bottom of the bowl. Being the lucky recipient of chronic diverticulitis I worry it'll someday expedite that looming sigmoidectomy 😳
