Is this girl good or what/ She is beautiful in every way- that voice!!
I had a Bronco as a kid now I want her Mustang. Fender made some really good models in their time.
Getting back to Norah, how good is she?

    I’m a long time fan.
I loved her early stuff, though I like her more recent work, too.
I saw her at the Woodlands in late 2003.
She and her band were brilliant!

Yep, spectacular in her own way. Here she is, live with Bonnie Raitt almost 14 years ago:

She was outside the House of Blues, Boston about to perform a show before her first record took off. I heard the early buzz and decided to check her out. I knew the name, but it was before the internet was the answer to everything so I didnt really know what she looked like. I got there early and ran up the steps to get a drink in before the show. At the top of the steps leaning on the handrail was a small girl with a sweet smile and big eyes, smiling at me the way girls smiled at me back then. I thought to say something, but the door slid fast and I just nodded and went in. I looked back at the door a few times after getting settled, then she was up on stage.

Her regular posts through the pandemic have made me a big fan. Appreciation for her talent. I made a post here earlier after catching some negative comments about her age and being mom. IMO time, family and still producing nice music are positive, grew my appreciation.

Many think of her piano playing so I chose these from many she's done since last spring.

I still like Carole's version best (I weep), but that was nice.

I like Norah best when she's playing with Jim Campilongo. His playing perks her up a lot.

I was lucky enough to catch her at The Sands in Bethlehem, PA in 2010. She played piano as well as her red Mustang.
    Memorable!

Apparently just before Tom Petty passed...he was planning on working on the expanded "Wildflowers" project that has recently released. He was planning on taking the Heartbreakers out and doing a smaller tour playing Wildflowers and all the rest (if you didn't know Wildflowers was planned and recorded originally as a double album). Apparently he had already contacted Norah Jones about joining them on the tour and was planning on a few other permanent tour guests so he could recreate the album properly in a live setting.

Wish he would have lived to see that come to fruition.

If she could make Bisquits as well as my Ma, I'd keep her.

Just for once on this site I'd like to see a female talent treated as a musician and actual person only, without all the - I mean, let's say you met her. Would you all say some of this stuff to her face?

"Hi, I'm Norah Jones, pleased to meet you."
    "I'm in love."
    "You're beautiful in every way."
"How good are your biscuits? Deciding whether to keep you."

If you think I'm being extreme, flip it around:

"Hi, I'm Matteo Mancuso, pleased to meet you."
    "I'm in love."
    "You're beautiful in every way."
"How good is your toolbox? Deciding whether to keep you."

I know she was estranged from her father for a long time, but what a talented family.

I didn't know that. I was about to mention how great HE was too. I saw him with George Harrison in 1974. Didn't quite know what to make of his music at the time, but I really liked it - opened a few doors for me as I got older and more curious.
