I like it, goes places I didn't expect. Great song. I'm sure no audio engineer, but maybe a smidge more vocals in the mix?

Thanks for chiming in! Are you referring to the vocals in the chorus?

    Howdy rocksmoot....

    I gave it a listen
I like the vibe....a bit edgy, no overpowering highs with the guitar.
    Vocal is performed well overall.

Regarding the vocals....lead vox is not up front enough and all vocals sound they're in a box. (if that's your intent ignore my comment)
Volume wise we're only talking a db or so.
There seems to be a volume imbalance with vocals/harmonies from verse to chorus.

If it were me...I'd solo ALL vocals and make sure peaks throughout are the same....maybe at -10 db.
Then do a 1st mix and adjust the lead vox/chorus vox volume from there.
Personally, I don't mix harmonies (chorus, prehook or otherwise) at same volume as lead vocal....always a db or so lower.
    Of course, that's subjective.
When you think you have a good stereo mix add a Room 1 or 2 reverb to it...not a lot of saturation, just enough to expose some ambience...as it you're playing in a club.
See what you think from there.

Don't get me wrong....I like the tune, but, since you asked I chimed in too.

    But...that's just me....hope that helps.

    Carry on....

Thanks for the feedback, its very welcome. I have to do something about my room. Its such a pain to get any vocal takes in there. Thanks again!

    Mornin'.....

I listened again....I'm not convinced your 'room' is that problematic.
Vocals are clear and I can understand the lyrics which is rare much of the time from my POV. :)

As I suggested, just a tiny bit of reverb and/or EQ would create the perception of some venue like ambience.

I like the cut and would listen again....that's how I measure if a tune is really appealing to me.
Good job....keep us informed of any massaging you may do with this one.

    Have a great day....

OK, I need to listen on something better than my phone to give mix feedback so let me just say now that I really enjoyed listening to that song. Then I checked out your take on my favorite Beatles song and I was really impressed on your reimagination.

To quote the terminator: "I'll be back."
