So I have to ask, why not keep both?

I sure hope there's more to come. As of right now I'm fully in the court of the Statocaster with the more figured body wood and maple neck.

Maybe it's just my own attraction to the first version of the Stratocaster ( 1954), but I would absolutely LOVE to have a 2-tone SB Strat w/ maple fingerboard- just think they are beautiful. ( especially one that is really light/yellow in the center)
And as my own Strat ( '97 Tex-Mex) has a '60's look w/RW board, have one of these would be fun to own.
The closest I came was a '98 Jimmie Vaughan Strat that was 2-tone/fat maple neck (back Tone knob worked bridge pickup, instead of middle- which was wide open.
Fun guitar, but stolen 2000
