Heard this on the car today. Got me thinking, it's a good song, but wouldn't be made today....someone would have put a stop to that overly busy shaker.

I must have heard this a million times but that shaker just got to me today.

    Dang you!

I probably wouldn’t have put much thought into that shaker, now it’s so prominent

I'd love to know the thinking in the mix room. "Vocals? Yeah, they're always at the top of the mix. Guitars loudest in the mix? Sure, that's been done. Drums, too. But the shaker! Nobody's featured that before! Go for it!"

    Killer version, otherwise.

    Here's a shaker for ya.
Once you hear it you can't unhear it.

That's Jerome Green (of "Bring It To Jerome" fame) on those maracas! I assume Billy Boy Arnold on harp, anybody know for sure?

He reworked I'm A Man into I'm Bad. Same song. I spell B... A... D... Less shaker. Probably maracas, actually.

Girls just wanna have fun. They just wanna. I'd like to hear Guns N Roses, or the old Van Halen, cover that one.
