Ignore your Effects Loop?

I play mostly dirty with a master volume amp so an effects loop for delay or reverb is critical to me. I can't stand those effects in front of a dirty amp.

This is what is comes down to for me.

With a dirty amp I don’t care for delay, reverb, or modulation in front of the amp. Plus, if you need a volume boost for leads you gotta put your boost pedal in the loop.

That's me--my Blackstar tube amp has an effects loop (the specs says so), but I've never bothered looking for it. Am I missing out?
If you like using the amp distortion, you may find you enjoy your modulation pedals (chorus, flanger, delay, reverb) in your loop. I prefer it that way. I also like my eq pedal there for perfect boosting or final tone-shaping. YMMV.

An effects loop has no impact on whether or not a choose and amp and if it does have one, I ignore it.

I've never used an effects loop in any amp. I would try them on occasion but they never became part of my setup. I know how/why they are used, and I understand why they are a necessity for some... they just are not important to me and what I do.

The FX loop is an integral part of my rig. I do not care for time-based processing in front of the preamp. All my amps have a loop, except for my little solid state Champ.
