I vote we change Bad Dog Cafe to "Get off my Lawn, and pull your Pants up!!!!"
Maybe a derivative. I think he's just trying to look cool.
I think "Lose the stands, and quit that LOL crap. And pull your pants up." would do well
Well, it doesn't sound very good...If you played it while posing, it might not be good for the overall effect.
I've used "LOL" carelessly before. It's ironic that whenever I actually laugh out loud, I take the time to spell it out. And then I add "seriously, I really did." So not sure how useful this is as an economic way to communicate anything other than approval.
This, for instance:
I laughed out loud. Really, I seriously was laughing out loud at this.
I like calling it an octothorp when the youngin's mention hashtags.
I only type "LOL" When something someone typed... actually made me LAUGH OUT LOUD.
I don't give conciliatory "LOL's"
This thread might beat the "grumpy old men" post for the most replies...or maybe what's her name...oh never mind. Bad dog!
Taylor Swift. lol
Oh... I don't know him.
Never ever used it, but I like this one.
I ended a text with an emoji one time to my teenage son and his reply was "don't ever send one of those things again"! Of course I had to troll him and send like 5 more.
Make your children cringe and earn internets cred by pasting Lenny Faces into your posts & texts.
If you use LOL you're 50+ and trying too hard, if you use lol you're texting a girl in her 20s. As with anything it's about context. Email to your boss? Nope. Group chat with your friends? Have at it.
wait I meant DURN MILLENIALS
