    I watched several videos of his last night. Most were note-for-note covers of other guitarists' solos. Played impeccably of course, but I didn't hear any improvisation.

    Are you of the opinion that this is as good as he will get?

    I see an extremely talented young man with the world at his fingertips. I do believe that is something to be appreciated. Do you think he will not grow further as a musician?

    Great young player!

    He makes it look easy!

    As I watched, I thought about an interview that I had read with Vince Gill.

    I believe he was doing his first ever session job and ran through a passage/take.

    The producer told him it was good and to try it again; playing half of the notes he played on the first take.

    A lot in life comes in time and maturity.

    Imo.

    (Btw, does he sing? I'd recommend it.)
