If you had to learn a few songs to learn how to play rock n roll, which would you pick?

I remember guys like Eddie Van Halen or Johnny Marr would woodshed when they were kids to Cream or the Stooges to learn how to play. What are some essential rock songs you would think are worth while to learn?

When I was teaching (very brief stint) I taught kids a few George Thorogood songs. Simple three chord blues progressions, and they have that rock and roll raunchy rebellion in them too.

I remember doing a few songs by The Clash when I was starting out.

Also - jamming to three chords with your buddies ala All on the Watchtower. That is the definition of rock and roll IMO.
