I would put half a tank of Gas in my Van.
I had an extra $500 to buy gear with a few months ago. Went for a Line 6 POD HD500X. Love it!
I'd put it toward a dream guitar--like a Ric, Duo Jet, Gibson J45, etc.--and then not feel as guilty for spending the dough.
Id buy a Strymon Bigsky and make cheezy ambient music while nobody else is listening.
For $500 I'd get...
a recording interface, Behringer UMC202HD - $100
2 JBL 305P powered monitors - $260
DAW software - Reaper $80
AKG K240 studio headphones - $60
i have a 350 buck wish list .. i might expand that
Since I have far more guitars, amps and gear in general than I need or deserve and since I consider Jack Daniels to be an essential part of my musical experience..........
Ive been wanting one of these. I've been told this was one of Marhsall's better if not best solid state amp.
For $500 you can get a really nice used bass. Yamaha BB's under $500 are a dime a dozen.
$450 is kind of a sweet spot for budget used guitars. There's an awful lot in that range that can be tweaked to play as well as just about anything. I have maybe a half a dozen guitars and basses in that range that I got just because I thought they were neat. Haven't regretted any of them. I've even given a few away just because they were good and it would help someone out who didn't have a decent instrument.
But honestly, everybody needs a bass.
Storage/display system to clear up some floor space.
Bananas and blow!
2 of these !
and spend the other 250 on the Mel 9 - i did
I would really like that too.
Got all the guitar gear I need, or want. $500 to spend on vintage jazz LP's would be cool.
I just used it for personal property taxed
Either a line6 HX stomp (I might be the tenth guy to answer this!), or I'd put it towards a J-45 or J-100. I'm not lacking anything though.
