If you die in a hospital, can you come back as a ghost to haunt your old house?

Wife and I were discussing this....the internet would know the answer.

When there's a creepy old haunted house, I assume the old lady/guy died therein. Right? So if you die at a hospital, can your ghost leave the hospital and come back to where you want/need to haunt? I mean otherwise, hospitals would be full of spirits.

    Discuss.

Arno Penzias' work strongly indicates that 'soul migration' would be easily/commonly feasible from place of death to desired haunting ground.

My sister told me long ago to crack a window when someone is dying so their soul/spirit can go out. I like that and figure they can go anywhere they want.

Yeah, I suspect you can haunt any location you want, what worries me is that the clothes you're wearing when you kick become your ghost clothes forever.
...I mean, I wanna know ahead of time so I can put on something cool.

I have spent the last 15 years trying to get the hell out of my house.....I sure wouldn't want to haunt it more than I already do.

Even as a ghost, I think I would haunt someplace warm near the water.

Maybe. It depends on your level of quantum entanglement with your house.

Not scientific, but I have seen one up close and have many stories to go along with it growing up in an old country schoolhouse that was haunted.

Actually I had this conversation with the Neanderthals I work with a few years ago and said I want to be a ghost in a Nudie suit. They understood that as a "nudie" suit, which someone translated into 'crotchless devil suit'.
    Now I'm stuck with that.
