My wife and I raised three of the best people on the planet in every respect - we are a very close family that has grown to include in-law-spouses and grandchildren. Most people would say I was/am a good father - but if I could go back I would savor and appreciate so much more, every day of raising them. It went so fast, and the pressure of providing for all can make you lose focus of the little things. It's the love that counts, not the money.

A Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot (yeas really) once told me "if it flies, floats [clean version] or does the other thing beginning with F, rent it by the hour.

I'd tell myself to relax, everything's gonna be OK. Might advise myself to save a little money though.

I’d definitely give myself an earful!
    Unfortunately, I also know I wouldn’t listen.
I’ve been offered good advice by others, but dove headlong into some very foolish endeavors.
    Way too late now.

Hey, only 95% of Texans are full of BS!
    The other 5% are great.
My favorite wife was a San Antonio girl.
Texans think Texas is a country, maybe even a planet.
    It ain’t.
    Texans oughta travel more, IMO.

Too many things in too few time

    But I would say...

    -quit smoking,
-sell the car, get the Harley and ride more
-Say YES to that band, they will be rich and famous later
    -Leave that girl NOW
-Buy more flats in the ancient town neighbourhood

I'd probably point and say to my 29 year old self, "Hey what's that on your shirt?" and then flick myself on the nose as I looked down.

Hmmm, really not much to tell me then about now that I could have used and didn't already know.

I guess I'd have said that I would see a Harry Joyce Hiwatt for $2000, try it out 20 times and not buy it, then later see it damaged for $800. Buy @ $800. It seemed to have had a fall and the PT was twisted on the mounting tabs, plus it sounded like it needed some work, likely due to the fall it had taken. Best amp sound ever and I should have bought it.

    That's about it!
Note that in 1990 I had a power trio in Brookyn and we all got hooked on dope, then I lost everything and almost died.
Thing is, all my bad choices brought me to where I am today.

I'm OK with where I am today!

Except for some choices I'd like to change, going back 50 years that involved neck injuries!
I could do with less chronic pain, but that's from really early on.
