Blind Willie McTell. I'd be sure to get video of everything he played and transcribe his entire repertoire. And re-record in a modern studio. Yeah.

Oh yeah. And I do also agree with the revolutionary part.

Neat trick that, seeing as J S Bach died in 1750, which is "only" 265 years ago. Still, the general point's taken.

Some good suggestions here, to which I'd like to add my old mate Mac Poole, sadly taken from us very recently by the big C. Superb drummer, a thorough professional, a total gentleman and a candidate for world talking champion, he is already sadly missed by all who knew him.

+1 That was my first thought too.

Being able to see Louie Armstrong in his prime would be amazing too.

I'd like for Nick Drake to know that people love his music.

None i would just give Malcom Young back his ability to play, i could think of nothing worse than beeing so young and loosing it all and have to sit in a nursing home for the rest of your life, i hope the poor buger has his number one Gretsch hanging on the wall and is trying to bang every nurse that walks in his room.

I thought that as well, especially if we could use modern technology to restore his hearing.

But can you imaging Bach writing a piece for electric guitar with the classic point / counter point method he used?

Jimi? Bonzo? Robert Johnson? There are so many good answers here.

And to Plumber's response - I almost spit my coffee onto my screen!

Elvis, of course! Now wait, someone just told me he is still in the building!
Seriously, I have to go with Jim Croce. Excellent songsmith that checked out way too soon.
