And a very rare lineup too. Funny how scandalous that movie was considered to be when it came out.![]()
There's a reason why I posted the Criterion Collection artwork and not the trailer.

Another French movie I enjoyed recently is Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday. You can see the influence it had on Mr. Bean.
Movie called Hidden Figures, 2016. So far off my radar, never came up on my Amazon 'suggested' listed until last night, wife says, lets watch it.
What a stunning movie! Storyline is based in historical facts that seem impossible, the casting magnificent, the acting some of the best Ive EVER seen...I mean, dang y'all...it was what I would call a perfect movie.

yes it's great, I went to see it at the cinema! the sound was very well done which is very rare thesedays, not too loud, perfect volume.Becoming Led Zeppelin. I clicked past it forever, figuring it was a non musical documentary. It's actually a running story that shows the band's progression from entry to veteran rock band. Interesting to hear Page describe the themes of the first albums and his desire to record songs that would NOT be singles.
Funniest line I've read here in days!I love a good movie, even if it's black and white. . . .
Gotta add Trainspotting, The Darjeeling Limited, bullet train or whatever it’s called with Brad Pitt. Train to Bhusan(?) is also really great. I don’t watch very many zombie movies but Train to Bhusan and World War Z. Both great zombie films for non zombie folks. For no good reason, a few faves of mine feature train travel... These aren't obscure, but if you haven't seen 'em, they're fun. Pick your era:
The General (Buster Keaton, 1926)
The Lady Vanishes (Hitchcock, B&W, 1938)
North by Northwest (Hitchcock, color, 1959)
Silver Streak (Richard Pryor *and* Gene Wilder, 1976)
Midnight Run (Robert DeNiro, Charles Grodin, Yaphet Kotto, 1988)
As far as where they're streaming, I always just look 'em up on 'justwatch.com' -- no affiliation.
Feel free to post a great flick and make sure to post where it's streaming. No spoilers, please. A short plot synapses is fine.
My selection is called Waking Ned Divine and it's streaming for free on YouTube. It's about a small village in Ireland and they wake on day to find that one of their own has won the big lottery.
Have any good ones?
