You have at least one OD pedal, and many players have two or more. If Analog.Man KOT was on store shelves everywhere, what OD on your current board would you replace? This thought exercise doesn't allow you to add the KOT.

My KOT clone! I also have a DIY bluesbreaker, so maybe that.

I guess the Bad Monkey and if the KOT was high gain enough, the Friedman BE-OD?

When I am able to get a KOT, it will go head-to-head against my Coppersound FoxCatcher - it is a great bluesbreaker style pedal with their GravityBomb boost.

I don't know if the KOT would knock it out or lose and go up for sale....looking forward to trying when the time comes....

I love my Hot Wax, but I bet the KOT, with the right options for me, would have no problem replacing it.

I played one and didn't care for it in my rig. I'm not a big OD guy.

I had a KOT clone and didn’t find it to be the be all end all overdrive for me. Something about it that didn’t do it for me.

Maybe the real deal is incredible and I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I’ve been more pleased with a Mojo Hand Rook, Barber LTD SR, or an OCD, personally.

My JHS Morning Glory... which I love to death. The thing is? I love the KOT a little bit more.

Can I try it before I choose? Because I might choose one of the ODs that live in the big box of pedals in my basement.

Ive been on the waiting list for 41 months. Ill be buying one this year.

Honestly, im not sure itll kick my current OD pedals off. Im 50/50, half hoping i LOVE it and it does, half hoping it doesn't and I sell it and triple my money. I just gotta know.

Beat me to it. If I’m not adding the KOT, what am I adding to replace the pedal deleted? And if not the KOT, how then is this a KOT question?

Schrödinger’s cat is easier to grasp....even before the box is opened....

LOL, you took your pillorying like a man. Duly noted. And to be fair, I was feeling snotty.

To answer the question intended, probably my Fulldrive.

The Wampler Pantheon is a great Bluesbreaker dealy. And it's got 3 clipping modes, 3 OD voicing options, and a Baxandall EQ. Just saying, it's pretty friggin' great. The Friedman Dirty Shirley is pretty cool too.
Here's the thing about the KoT from Analogman, there are a skajillion great pedal makers out there. Here's the other thing, it's neat that he's developed a devoted following. But it it was worth $700+/- he'd sell it for that all day long. Great pedal, not by 10 miles the only great pedal.

And And And if he doubled production the mystique would fade. So they've painted themselves into a corner because their revenue is now fixed which usually spells trouble for a small business.

Don’t feel bad. I was taking it out on you because I can’t tell the difference between a $400 pedal and any of mine.;)
