My question is,... 2 volumes 1 tone or 2 tones 1 volume? What do you all think? 2 pickups only. Keep on pickin!

To me it would depend on how balanced the pickups are. I’d prefer two tone controls to sweep the available voice from each pickup independently, but if one of my pickups was producing significantly higher output than the other, I might opt for two volume controls.

Just 3 pots, no switch? I'd have two volumes and 1 tone. I wouldn't want both pickups on all the time.

balance blend with a center detent, volume, tone. if you have no need for the volume knob, i'd go blender, bass cut, tone. the problem with two volume knobs is that going from neck straight to bridge (which i do a lot) is a pain in the ass.
