Can anybody describe or post a pic of genuine "Tex-Mex" Fender tele pups? I don't think I've ever seen one and I don't know quite how they differ from MIM pups.

I have a set with bottom bobbin #'s as follows: Neck pup 048609. Bridge bobbin # 048610. To the best of my knowledge they're Tex-Mex. Any help you could offer will be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Not sure you can definitively tell the difference by looks alone....maybe wire color and resistance readings. Those numbers are on a lot of different pickups. It's the part number of the plastic base not of the whole pickup.

Thanks

It's a tough call on these! I need to find someone with a NOS box of Tex-Mex teles and pretty please them into opening it up for a look-see and metering! Thanks much for your reply.
