Hi all,
Can any of the experts give me any help with this please. It has no serial number or made in USA on the headstock. Its up for sale by a lady who has recently been widowed.

Is it a vintage reissue? They had serials on the bridge plate

Honestly without a picture or a better detailed description we probably won’t be much help

There’s many fender guitars that have serials elsewhere and no mia marking

It depends on the year and model as to what you’ll find. For example, if it’s 50/60s or a US reissue of those models, it won‘t say “made in USA” anywhere and will usually have the serial on the neck plate or even the bridge. Made in Japan guitars often have their info on the neck heel, just above the join with the body, and sometimes the serial on the bridge for reissues. It’s hard to say exactly what to look for without knowing the model.

Dude it's a '52 obviously! It looks like it was Buddy Holly's, the one that that was so famously his before he started playing that Stratocaster!

What a score.

I had an Aims telecaster with that "not fender" style nut, but it had a heel adjust truss rod too.
