You could use the "Screen Door" app for your browser..

down the bottom right hand corner of the screen there's a slider to close the bad doggy door...:D

so you want to stop others from talking about whatever they feel like just because you were duped into thinking it was in some way interesting to you?
you my friend need to have a very long look at yourself.

It may well be my favourite, particularly over the last year. It needs neon lights!

Some of the funniest stuff I have seen online is in Bad Dog, along with some of the saddest from members who are in a bad way because life happens. Bad Dog is where we share life aside from guitars.

Bad dog cafe is the main reason I come here. I started as lurking and getting tech advice for years before I realized, hey these folks are saving the world, I want to be part of this. And because of this I have been saved from the world!

best of luck with that. :)
IME many people don't read...they simply post.
    knee-jerk fashion

as long as we're discussing wish lists, I wish we had a general higher calibre of forum members, in terms of intelligence and reading comprehension and pertinent replying.
But hey, it seems they let anyone in here...me for instance:cool:

I introduce guitarists to this forum all the time because you can talk about anything. It’s a selling point for me. You think I’m here to talk about Teles?!?

Block a forum? That’s rather rigid, isn’t it. It’s like the ignore function. I remember in my first year here thinking someone posted something directed at me that was snarky and in poor taste. I ignored him. Sometime later, I saw a post from him quoted and what he said was funny. I stopped ignoring him.

Bad dog posts? Some are happy. Some are sad. Some are informative about topics I don’t think much about. Some are snarky. Some are just plain idiotic. Some get me thinking. Some get taken down. Others close threads. It’s actually my favorite forum. It’s where we talk about life separate from guitars and amps.

So to me, Bad Dogs posts are often thoughtful. Intelligent. Good humor requires high intelligence. I’m retired. The forum provides an opportunity for interaction with others. I don’t have idiots in the workplace to laugh at anymore. There are plenty here. Even the smartest of us can be idiotic at times. Bad Dog doesn’t just represent the US with all its diversity. Bad Dog is the world. To me, it should be required reading, but hey, I’m not rigid enough to demand that.

    Maybe there's a difference I wasn't aware of.

I'd like a "ignore" button for the BDC, that's what I'm talking about. Not take away something from others (what an idea, btw.)

Hey, I don't even have a Telecaster. Yet.

(Got my eye on a G&L ASAT. Does that count?)
