ebays global shipping program quotes absolutely ridiculous prices for international shipping.
I see the same kind of prices when I browse ebay. if it's something I really want/need I ask the seller and often they have no idea whats showing up for shipping to customers from other countries but they're "yep sorry thats just $10 to ship"
the global program is so flawed for example here any purchases under $1000 pay no taxes & duty ect yet they still calculate them.I was doing fine on my own avoiding sellers who price gouge for shipping this just makes it harder

Wow, that's just crazy. I'm just a babe in the woods, I had no idea. I guess China has some kind of sweet-heart deals so they get around all these costs that "normal" countries have to contend with, huh? Or I should say, at least shipping to the US.

Mmmm, those sound great! Fun for the kids, too!

Hope you'll get a chance to check in more often, Josh, we've missed you, too!

When I see the ridiculous shipping charges I ask the seller for a quote. Some of them say they don't even ship out of the USA!
Also, ebay and Pitney Bowes charge duty and taxes on everything whereas I don't usually pay any of those charges if the seller just ships via USPS.

Hi Nick, not exactly sure. They have a custom shop label, they came with the guitar, which I bought used in '87 or so. I'm not sure why the PU covers are all different colors, they're all original.

Oh my gosh, I am hungry for some pancakes!

I had ordered parts from addiction fx on ebay and the shipping quote was around $30. I messaged him and asked if he shipped via postal service and if so then it shouldn't cost that much to ship to Canada. He said he just charges actual shipping costs, which ended up being around $12. I wonder how many sellers lose sales over the automated shipping quotes.

    Thanks Kevin.

Josh, how the kids are going? Your last one and my daughter has the same age, if I can recall right.

    Bill thanks for the answer.

Has anyone seen a note from some ebay sellers that says: “ We do not follow ebay’s shipping program”.

    Nick,

    The kids are doing great.
They are the real reason I've been scarce around these parts.

Taken last month, from left to right,
    3, 2, 4, 7 months, 5.

About the forearms and armrest I went for the deep cut as the 50's strats, I found the forearm more sexy at the 50's-60's than the later models.
Here are some pics I found on the internet.

Nick Yours doesn't look quite so radical as that one off the internet. You could cut yourself on that edge! And that green--WOW!

Beautiful Crew, Josh, no wonder you've been busy elsewhere. Any of 'em showing an interest in lutherie yet? Regarding Jar-Jar, I bet your 5 year old would know what to do with him--he's got that look. :D

REALLY nice contours, Nick. I like them a bit exaggerated myself.

    I receive these pickups today.
The one with the two coils is an Alnico 5 staggered Seymour Duncan STK neck pickup.
Looking close the coils I saw that they are not reverse wound?
I thought that staggered coils pickups was made with reverse wound coils.:D

The other one is a Seymour Duncan Alnico 5 single coil middle pickup, with broken coil.
I remove the cover and saw that the coil is broken at near the eyelet...
I will try to solder it.
