I usually don't use any effects. I've got an Ibanez DL5 and a CD10 delay champ that had
been collecting dust for 20+ years. After hearing a friend use delay I started messing with
    my old delay pedals.

Really liked the CD10 best and it seems easy on batteries. Used it on a gig last night, and
a sound guy I know came by and said he really like my tone:) I left it on all night~
    level @2 repeat @1 and delay time @3 1/2

Not a heavy effect but enough to add some ambiance. Going up on high strings seemed
smoother, bass riffs seemed snappier, jazz chords seemed really lush...Don't think I'm in
danger of building a pedal board, but delay has certainly found a spot in my arsenal.

Pedal-itis is a serious condition and I'm afraid that it has already infected you. You're a goner. Next you'll be asking about low gain overdrives. Then you'll wonder about compressors and where in your signal chain to put a phaser and should you use the effects loop. It's a slippery slope my friend. Best advice, don't fight it. Subscribe to "That Pedal Show" and "Wampler Pedals" on YouTube and start your run down the rabbit hole.

Ha! Just one pedal at a time.....

Actually I use a Tube Screamer once in a while,
mostly for slide. Also have a Boss tremolo that I
used to use when I played with a drummer who
liked to do a few CCR songs.

Pedal-itis, can you get an immunization? Is it deadly?

I understand that spouses often encourage the use of delay. :D

Whatever you do, do not look at the prices of Mooer and Donner pedals...

Some of the MFX pedals, have really good Delays, Reverbs, Tremolo and Tape Echo. I like the older Zoom models, that had a faster sample rate. Plus, it gives you the option of other effects, without a big price tag.

I like just a touch of reverb and a little delay to make my guitar’s presence a little larger sonically. Really subtle use if that makes any sense. I’ve played with that sort of setup for a long time.

This Ibanez CD10 seems to be a really smooth effect.
I've got the dials set pretty low, level@2

Starting Memorial Day through fall I'll be playing outdoors
quite a bit. I'm wondering if I'll want bump the level up a
bit in that environment? Right now I've got level@2
    repeat@1 delay time@3 1/2.
