Good luck when you see the bill this year! You may learn to enjoy being cold.

Layers. Long sleeve shirts. Sweaters. Hoodies. Jackets.

    In that order. Or not.

You all have, in any case, my warmest regards.

I am just too busy to switch the thermostats, can't be bothered with such trivial tasks

    I let the robots do it...LOL :D

It's been in the high 40s F here the last two mornings following a front.
I've bumped the heat in the truck just a little on my way to work at 530 am, and when I got up it was 65 in the house.

If it gets down close to 60 inside, I'll set the heat on about 66. No one to please any more but myself, and I can layer clothes, get an extra blanket, or pull up an extra dog.:lol:

Yeah I grabbed a light down vest this morning. Not complaining--more zippered pockets for me.

Turned the heat on Friday night because it was going to get down to 39 degrees overnight. I have a Victorian built in 1902 with radiators. A little over an hour after setting the thermostat to 65 degrees, it was nice and cozy.

Record high of 82°F on Oct. 4th, record cold of 21°F on Oct. 12th. We have had the wood cookstove going all morning for almost a week now, with the big stove going one night. Mmmmmm … seems like fall in the Rockies to me.:) Perfect weather for getting the last of the firewood in and tie up some outdoor projects.

Hoping for a decade overdue real cold snap to weed out the noobies comin’ in.

It’s been bizarrely mild here, north of Toronto. Been sleeping at night with open windows. Furnace went on for the first time today.

House stayed below 70° all day long and the air conditioner did not kick on once, I’m in heaven.

Lol. I was visiting Massachusetts last year in December. A friend said "I still have to winterize my house".

I responded "You know how we winterize houses in Phoenix? We open the windows".

We got down to around 48F last night. I've got windows open throughout house....LOVE IT! High was around 74F today. When we have days without A/C OR heat, it's wonderful. (and economical) I don't like "cold".....32 degrees.....but "cool" is fun.

Haaa, yeah. I visited a cousin down there just south of you in late November years back and had dinner out on a patio … and I was wearing cargo shorts. Kinda fun I gotta admit.

I turned my heat on today as well. Yesterday wasn't as bad. Tomorrow high of 70 something low of 40 something....

I'll miss these temperatures in less than 30 days, for certain.

My wife and I make a game out of turning on the house heat -- see how deep into the Autumn calendar to do so. We usually make it to about Oct. This year... last weekend. When the house get to be ~60° inside... that's does it.
