I had a really bad foot/ankle cramp this evening after an exceptionally hard job today. I tried walking it off but that seemed futile

The only pickles in the fridge were some habanero based dills. So I took two swigs from the jar. Sweetbabycheeses was that brine hot. I love habaneros but this was really habanero hot.

After about five minutes the cramps went away. So maybe this does work. I’m a skeptic on a lot of things like this but it does seem to work.

I’m going to order a couple of jars of a jalapeño bread and butter pickle that we enjoy. Somewhere I remember a pickle brine concoction for adding to salads and such.

This could be a breakthrough in my cramps after a hard work day or a sweaty yard/house day

Dill pickle juice will also cure hiccups...drink about two shots’ worth quickly.

Be careful! It may start as a cure that ends in addiction because it’s so awesome!

Man....I crave me some pickle juice....

We get pickles from a company called Backyard Brine that are pretty magical. Those habanero dills are fantastic.

There was a sweet gherkin that had cloves in the juice that very good. We never saw them again.

What are y’all’s favorite pickle/pickle juices?

Do you mean like a Charlie horse like like a sports person or something like that like that tightening of a muscle it is intensely painful ? If so try to stand with your legs in-line One in front of the other apart like you were cross country skiing with the offending Foot planted flat on the floor in back of you. That works every time for Charlie horses in the thighs and lower legs and shins so hopefully it’ll work a little lower. Water intake can help with muscle spasms too

We make our own. Carrots too. Hot chilis. But there are some we buy. Bubbies are my favorite.

    My personal favorite it clauson

They keep them in the refrigerated section of the deli

There’s just something special about the seasoning, kind of sharp garlicky

That’s my favorite massed produced, haven’t tried too many small batches

Mustard works also, and it is much easier to carry a little mustard pouch in your sports bag than a jar of pickles.

They say that being frightened stops hiccups. When Mrs. German had bad hiccups a few years ago, I looked her straight in the eye, and said “I’ll be with you forever.” Her hiccups stopped immediately. Needless to say, it’s now a standard joke around the house.

In @stxrus 's jar it sounds like salt and habeneros. But given the urgency of your question I'm going to assume that you know of some sinister ingredient that will make his cajones shrivel up and fall off.

:lol: LOL! No, I am just curious. I assume it's salt and vinegar, plus dill, maybe? I wondered if anyone knew the secret cramp-killing recipe.

A lot of salt, and sometimes other minerals too. In other words, electrolytes.

Gatorade works just as well and for exactly the same reason.
