She's 26 years old, works as an amp tech in the LA area, and has her own YouTube channel. I wish I'd had the courage to attempt that career path when I was a teen just out of high school. I know a lot of you here are just as experienced as she is (or more), but many of us here aren't, and I find this all fascinating and informative/educational

Just had her channel pop up today. Very cool she got into this, great story.

That reminds me, there was a little place in Lake Worth, FL called The Amp Shop run by a woman, as well. I always wondered how she got into that. Might still be there. (They quickly fixed up my solid state GK 250ML when it blew an output transistor.)

In the discharging video, she errs in saying that hum caused by a bad filter cap is due to “DC ripple”....simple error. She should have said AC ripple, fwiw. Educational/instructional videos should be carefully reviewed.
She is easy to look at and listen to....

Wally you should start being a ‘peer reviewer’ on her channel, in the comments of course :)

Like the old saying goes "where there's a will, there's a way." Good for her! I've got a buddy who started cutting grass in his hood with his Dad's push mower, as a summer job, to make some $ when we were in high school. He never went to college. Today he has a multi-million dollar landscape company ;) The key is to strive to be THE BEST at what you do. People will pay a premium to know they're getting the best, and the business will come to you in droves once the word gets out ;)

That's Colleen Fazio isn't it? She's changing the original rectifier tube for reliability? I hope she's not replacing it with a JJ, lol.

She is cute. If she was in my town I would be taking one of my amps to her every week. And I am an amp tech / builder.

I guess I'll have to drive all the way out to Atwater Village to get my amp worked on now...Dammit.

In the interest of making this site as friendly for women as possible, can we not comment on the looks of women who are there to talk about amp repair or guitar playing or whatever? I'm sure it was meant to be complimentary, but if I were a young woman I would not feel welcome on the site in the face of comments like that.

    Yes! That's exactly it; ASMR.

Same with That Pedal Show. They drone on for an hour about topics that should take 5 minutes to discuss. I barely care, but its oddly soothing to listen to the whole thing. Weird.
