I know the feeling, I thought I was through buying Strats, but I just bought a used Fender Vintera 50's Modified Strat. It was used and the pickguard, pickup covers, etc were changed to black. It's a two-toned Sunburst with a maple neck.

Yup, I know the feeling. I don’t need another pair of cowgal boots either.....but something is different with this one, the material, it’s not just leather, it’s horse hair, it’s not just red it’s blood red, it’s not just a boot....it’s now mine, #72 and my last one, until the next one!

thought i was done buying strats till this showed up last week. Don't know if its possible to play a reg one ever again. Crazy good build. Does strat & then some. Now 2 more SS's are en route. The neck & overall feel is so good..it;s tough to stop playing ..have to say it invites you to let it rip SVSS1 (2).jpg

Been wanting a Thinline Strat for some time. I have some 1/4" Cedar panels and some poplar planks to build one, but that'll have to wait til summer.

Strats have a way of following me home many times in the past.

Having a lot of GAS now because of a local seller trying to move 3 Epiphones for $700(ES 175 clone and 2 Casinos). Hard to say no sometimes.

    I don't know...

I love strats in all flavours, but thinline and flametop don't go together well for me.

The f-hole is necessarily misproportioned, because there's no space for it.
Look at a violin or a classic Jazz box. The f-holes are at a position where they serve both tone and aesthetics. That's not possible in a strat with pickguard.

I should just delete the app!

I think that Mr. Dwight Schrute sums up a good Strat's appeal for all of us at 0:23-0:38 here:

They are bewitching things that silk the soul, indeed....

Here’s a couple of photos of some that I saw at a boutique guitar shop
Almost pulled the trigger on the Koa one but got the roasted ash instead for much cheaper!!

Fit and finish were perfect and for cheaper than a new custom shop you couldn’t go wrong at all! I’d take one over the new ultimate line they are pushing now and I’d probably take one over a generic custom shop model I suppose...but how could you not want to wipe it down after every few minutes of playing? I’m afraid they’d both be case queens in my stable...

I haven’t seen this one yet out in the wild but I’d imagine if it’s anything like that other models they’d be hard to pass up! Cheat, lie, borrow and steal to get one if your so inclined...if the others are any indication of its quality I’d be confident to buy one sight unseen if I were you
