I polished and waxed my truck yesterday. Is that ok?

Great looking truck. My black one not a 4WD in the avatar. IMO best looking color for a truck or car. Takes a little time to keep it looking sharp. A lot of dust and pollen here in the desert. I wash it frequently and wax it every 3 months. Always with the Mag..... products.

looks great. I do not consider others when doing things for my own edification! I wash my truck (okay, I go through the car wash) and sometimes do the wheels when they get dingy... I have not waxed a vehicle in many many years... I do not know of the clay process...

I was four wheeling around Mono Hot Springs, Ca last week... it was dusty fo sho... I think I'll go to car wash this week!

You are correct, of course. I only use the compound on the painted portions of the grill and front bumper... on the bug stains.

    Yes yes yes!

I do a lot of highway driving right now, but all of that will end in December. After that, I'm going to do a moderate lift and some more aggressive tires. There were a couple of places last weekend that I didn't go, specifically because I had stock hight and pavement tires.

Also... mine is only the second one that I've seen with zero exterior badging on it. The only place it says Tacoma is in the tailgate imprint. The only place that has the Toyota icon is in the grill. It doesn't say TRD Sport anywhere, although that's what it is.

If it was a Custom Shop, you ruined it.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of the bedside TRD decals. I’ve owned a lot of different vehicles over the years, and this is my favorite, by a mile!

And if you didn’t already know, Tacomas hold their value better than just about anything on the road. Used ones are like gold on the market.

Yeah, I’ve had mine a year... put 20k miles on it. The “blue book value” is still the exact same amount.

Good fer you Texan! My black Ram is past due, i hit the car wash regularly but need to do the job myself with the Carnuba treatment. Full size ext cab is a real chore, i refuse to do it in 85F plus...when my sweat hits the finish it's like starting over.

Looks nice! I was outside Nashville a few weeks ago, I noticed a lot of houses are made of that brown brick. (Where I live, we have red brick). What is that style called?

I hand wash my truck and car when I’ve got time, and the truck gets a coat of wax spring and fall. The car doesn’t need it as often as it’s garaged. They sure do look nice when clean, dents and all.

Those are just decals. I had a new one and it had that. Some guys take them off and/or put other ones on there. I now have a Tundra and I put something on there just cause it was boring without.

But almost all Tacomas have the chrome/plastic “TACOMA” emblem on the front of the doors too. My does not.
