I think we've all suffered the frustrations and indignations that accompany that first clam ...

All part of the journey. I only play at home at the moment and still have days when I just know it's not going to work today.

I wouldn't believe anyone telling me that this never happened to him/her.
Two nights in a row is bad, but sometimes s... happens.....

Many years ago I was playing in a band and I had one of those nights when I was just on fire. I couldn’t hit a bad note if I tried. The very next night I couldn’t find a good note with both hands and a flashlight. I think I got cocky and tried too hard to get the magic back. It’s good to suck once in a while; it keeps us humble.

Hanging at a Buddy’s house a couple years ago and sitting on his patio. I had my strat or tele and we were enjoying a nice evening and a few brews. Armatures at best he cranks the amp up and starts playing. Somebody across the street yelled you suck!

Been there, done that! It's useful, cause then you go home and practice harder! The ego taking a hit is a good thing too..
