I pre ordered a Korg NTS-2 oscilloscope , quite a cool tool it has a ton of functions that I need to calibrate some devices , cant wait for it to arrive,
I have a dual trace full size scope already but this unit has a ton of feature in a small package like , 4 trace scope, tuner , frequency analyzer, wave generator ( sine, square, saw, ramp, ETC) plus comes with a book on the korg 2600 setting patches .

Santa got me a 0 -1200 times microscope 12MP 1080P USB 7"screen but USB to my computer which gives me access to a 15" screen. should be here just after the holidays

I'm really stoked this will help trmendously with the repairs and projects

I'm thinking on getting a FLIR thermal imaging camera to Identify components that fail and get too hot when a voltage is applied , I want to do some research on this first to get one for my needs specifically . If any one has expirience with a FLIR let me know any limitations I need to watch out for.

I'm still getting a 3-d filament Printer but I waited because I want my kid to do some research and hasnt put the effort into it yet and they want to use it more than me ( I'm leaning towards an Creality ENDER 3-Pro or equivelent) because I want to print larger items

Flir cameras can get expensive .... real expensive.
For your needs, I think the cheapest in the range would be suitable. Something like the Flir C3 should be more than adequate.
There are other brands ... probably all suitable. Cheaper and probably made in China.

Microscope looks cool.
I'm still old school ..... old projector lens for magnification, and fingers for thermal measurements (except when it's too hot or high voltage - where I use a digital temp measurement).

Cool gadgets! Looking forward to seeing some pics from that microscope.
I have an Andonstar endoscope that has 600 times magnification it great but has limits I have to be close to my objective and does not allow for close soldering , so this micro scope will be a gawd send. he endocope is monitored on a 15 "second monitor to my laptop , I plan to do the same with the new microscope .

I had a mesa I was working on, i fixed it no worries but the tubes for the 100 watt section got stupid hot , so I used a Meat thermometer it was all I had , to check the components , .....the owner had set the bias 4 times factory spec in 100 watt mode
he is so lucky he did not literally cook his amp.
I was watching a repair video and the tech checked all the usual bad criminals on a SMD board , so he pulled out a phone flir camera and off in the opposite corner of the PC board was a cap that was just cooking with only 1 volt applied he would never had seen it or guessed it with out the flir , seems like a practile application if you need it.
