    A. It's ugly, IMHO

    B. Rob Chapman is a tool and I wouldn't put a single penny in his pocket.

I've been in the same room as Rob quite a few times now and he always seems very genuine to me.

I really dislike chapman guitars and dorje music for whatever reason

Chappers is actually a funny, personable guy. He's also very ambitious and therefore, very busy. I wish him all the success in the world, and hope to run into him again at Winter NAMM.

Granted, I am not his target audience as regards guitars. You might try Clockwork Wolf & Co. if Dorje isn't your cup of tea. It's a very different side of Rob.

Nice looking guitar. Now, make it a Telecaster shape, with a Tele headstock, a Tele bridge, with Bootstrap pickups and Pyramid Nickel Classics, and I'm IN!!!!! ;)

The Champman brand of guitars are almost cool, IMO.

I can't handle the headstock shape on any of them. And I can't handle the fingerboard inlays on some of them... the 12th fret markers and such.

I think OP was being sarcastic in any case.

The improved 2019 Chapman Ghost Fret will haunt you in the soul until you give in to its seductive feel and ethereal tones. Whether you choose the Black Blood or Lunar finish you'll be possessed by the deep wooden flame surrounding the searing, Primordial Zerø humbuckers like a stygian forest.

It's not your fault that the Ghost Fret will hunt you down with its powerful tone, ebony fretboard and jumbo frets, like a caged, sonic, ancestral spirit. It's not your fault...

The marketing blurb, while insipid and silly in it's own right, has nothing on the the tripe that the Fender custom shop spews out on a regular basis about every single detail of their $5000+ masterpieces.

I do have to wonder which word "like a stygian forest" is modifying though? It must be "surrounding"

Not disagreeing because I’ve never met him and I’ve just seen him on YouTube, but what makes him a tool?

I like him more since he stopped wrapping those scarfs around his head.

I wish the Chappers good luck in his endeavors, but the pointy guitar/shredding stuff is not my thing and hate to tell him that era is pretty well on it's way out ... for the last quarter century.

I think--at the time--he was having difficulty coming to grips with an advancing age and retreating hairline.

Same. I see they use brass saddles (and blocks?) on some of their s-type guitars, and that isn't very common with production guitars. Just little aesthetic things turn me off for sure.

The guitars, in terms of specs, are mostly crowdsourced. It was a gamble that Rob took early on, and it paid off very, very well. Apparently the pedals are doing really well too. Hey, man - you gotta respect someone that figured out how to make their passion also the source of their (good) fortune.

That said, after having heard him play slow blues? I die a little inside whenever he takes it to the shred. :)

Oh, c'mon now. That wasn't affectation, it was compensation from an aging bloke who had yet to figure out how to handle what Father Time was telling him. And in those days, he was hardly in the position to fly to Switzerland for lasers and transplants.

That’s funny. I remember my girlfriend saying something to me in the mid-1990s, and I answered her by saying “ that’s almost cool”. Well she laughed and laughed. Then we adopted that line for at least 4-5 years. “Yeah, that was almost cool”.

    BTW, she’s my wife now.

Nope. I really want that guitar. I love Chapman guitars.

Then when your favorite artist has a signature Telecaster do not buy it either.
