I might need to upgrade my 'card table' folding guitar chair.

Although! I have, in recent weeks, allowed myself the luxury of buying a steel folding 'guitar chair' with a padded seat of sorts.

But I'm now considering a guitar chair that's at a whole 'nuther level of opulence...one with also a padded back, and to add a big dollop of frosting on this outrageous indulgence, I may go 'Full-Out 50's Kitchen' and buy something like one of these for my guitar room....

I only require a relatively simple seating device that will allow several hours of reasonably comfortable use at any given time. I prefer a more or less standard height chair that allows easy access to my two effects pedals, so the bar stool type probably wouldn't work very well.

Hard wooden barstool. I like it to be uncomfortable ... makes me feel bluesy.

I forget the brand, I think a couple members here have em but there is a brand of chair that is specifically made for guitar players

It looks like the Cadillac of guitar chairs

Wouldn’t that be perfect for you!

Unfortunately I just meant it’s fancy

I think I have seen bench seats that look like the back of a caddy

'Mrs' seldom ventures into my little guitar cave...it scares her.

I just had a flashback of my older brother distracting me by pointing out the window and saying, “Look at that!” while he stole my orange juice at breakfast one morning, long ago.

After a long band rehearsal sitting on a wooden barstool, I complained about it's hardness.
The band leader asked if I needed a "stool softener" :p:lol::)

Tama Ergorider drum stool with backrest.

I've had one since 1999 and it's been the best guitar chair for me. The seat is wide and comfy, the adjustable backrest is low and provides support where it does the most good, it swivels, it's height adjustable, and the four feet make it super stable.

Wow, I'm old enough to remember when those were just called "Grandma's kitchen furniture." But I guess "vintage" is just another way of saying "old." Maybe something like this would be interesting:

You could use it as a weapon as well, so it's perfect for busking.

Those might fit the bill. Has to be "art deco" for obvious reasons.
Color choice would depend on factors like what color you finish the boomerang mic stand base.
Chrome and black classic, or art deco bright color coordinated.

Now if you were to go with a stool, and go with gold for the base.... Maybe?

Nah. Need a foot rest and cant reach the pedals.
But the room ambience man. Its all part of the artistic statement man...

I like the last one. Black with white pleats. But the mic base must compliment somehow...

I have a similar drum throne from a different mfg. Very nice for guitar playing and drumming. Looking at mine's website I see they now have three legs instead of 4.
I think its an improvement. My four legger always has one leg getting tangled with the snare stand legs.

For many years, I have been using a chair I got when I worked for an office furniture company that handled a lot of used stuff. I gave the boss $20 for this one. It’s creaky (even though I lube the mechanism often) and the hard little casters are noisy on hard floors, and don’t roll on soft ones. Still, I love it. The style was made for many years, but since this one has “2/12/48” inked on the underside, I think I know about when it was made. :D
