I know there have been a lot of these, so this is brief, had an old record player from the 70's and basically took out the guts and replaced the arm switch with a fan control. I put it in some box my wife had lying around. For mounting I used the set screw that the belt was attached to, jb welded it to an aluminum plate, tapped the center for a 4-40 screw, and that was that. To attach the pickup I can use double stick, or in the case of any fender style, just go through the hole in the middle of the bobbins. I also made two little sticks with sandpaper on both sides, so I can mount the pickup with the spacer for raised magnets AND I can flip the pickup to wind in reverse for RWRP combos, like the pickup you see from its first wind!

Took about 5 min to wind to 8.5k resistance, works great!

That looks like a good basic machine.

Cool. Great adaptation of the record player.
