    Wichita is nice.
I make my own pedal boards from 3/8" or 1/2" plywood. They are cheap and very workable. Spray paint them black and I put them in an old vintage tweed suitcase I have. I don't use velcro. I use bicycle chain links. Take apart the chain links and screw on link on diagonal opposite corners of the pedal. Small wood screws into the pedal board. Works for me.

Here's mine. I've been wanting to do this since struggling from heavy and long boards with multiple effects. Plus I'd avoid having long patch cable that cuts the high frequencies along my chain. This'll fit 8 Boss sized pedals in a compact board that folds for easy packing. Less is more so they say.

Now onto a custom backpack maker to carry this to gigs or travel abroad. Hope airport security approves.
