Probably because pastel colors were all the rage back then. Also, if you are a really famous celebrity this is probably not as much of an attraction killer for the ladies as when you are a regular Joe.

I'd wager there's a bit of sour cream in that soup.

    Just put this partscaster together:

    IMG_20200825_190557.jpg

Mixed the color myself, tried to match Tahitian Coral, as found on 1956 Buicks.

Pink is the most bada$s color you can have on a Tele or Strat!

I wear a pink shirt occasionally to the office. When challenged, I reply, "what do you mean? PINK is my favorite color."
There's an ACDC tune addressing the subject, for those who aren't following..

Looks like Warmoth's Fiesta Red. I sent it back. It was too pink and not orange enough. If you want pink, that is nice though.

When I was young I'd see the aged Coral Pink, I thought it was Salmon, that they came that way. Someone should add that to their lineup. I don't know of anyone that has that color.

If it was a really good deal I'd buy it and use the savings to buy sandpaper and a new finish that isn't red/pink.

Pink is ok by me, but the guitar posted by OP is not pink. Sorry, just ain't. Maybe rose, maybe coral, but my preferred nomenclature for that color is pepperoni red. Think about it.

Always liked the 'Fiesta' red of the Classic Vibe series... a bit of pink in there...

I see someone else digs the tort guard with fiesta red. I think it's awesome. Tried it, met with opposition. Wife, band mates just couldn't see it. May use it anyway. Rebel that I am.

Hey, if it plays great, I'm sold. If someone doesn't like the color, tell 'em not to look at it.

    Ha....

Well.....I love tele's but if I were to buy one the pink (or any pastel) would never work for me.
"Pink" is a great color for flesh and flowers but that's where it ends for this old bird.

Obviously, I'm a tiny minority having that opinion. :)

    d barham....
hope it plays well when you're finished with it.

    Ah well, who cares?
By the way: amongst many other colours, pink was a fashionable colour for men in the middle to late 14th century, whereas several forms of blue, but rarely pink was worn by woman (red on the other hand was used by both sexes). Again: so what?
