....an ad for my '22 Triumph Rocket 3R on our local Facebook Marketplace, feeling pretty confident that it wouldn't get any serious responses.

But it did, and now a guy is coming over to take a look at it on Sunday when I'll be back home from four days in Sioux Falls.

My bluff may have been called, my Russian 'Rouletted'.

I hope not......but!...

If he offers to buy the bike for the amount I need for it, I guess it will be gone and that's that, and I will only have my BMW R1200R to get me through the riding season this year.

I mean, that bike looks like death on two wheels, but why would you list it while hoping it doesn’t sell? That sounds like a wife-pressure move but I know it’s not that in your case…

An engine with three cylinders in a line, 1,2,3.

Just like an inline six cylinder engine, but half.

There's all kinds of three-in-a-line engines used for motorcycles. My first inline triple was a 1974 Suzuki GT750 two stroke 750, it was a transverse inline three cylinder, meaning it was situated crossways in the frame.
