About 4 months ago I had a local guitar builder make a guitar for my son.

My son has let me know on several occasions what type of guitar he'd want if he could have one custom made for himself.

I knew he wanted a Fiesta Red w/ Tort guard, and a crazy Flamed Roasted maple neck.

Based on his love for our Suhr Classic Pro SSH, I knew he'd want the V70 singles and SSV humbucker, and Medium stainless steel frets.

He a great kid with an amazing work ethic for such a young man. He puts in A LOT of long hours at work and is always available when he's needed.

I'd sold several thousand $$$ of guitars a few months back, and my wife and I decided it'd be a killer I idea to get him a custom made guitar, to show our appreciation for his hard work.

Here's the specs on the guitar:

Here's the guitar we presented him with:

Kinda patting myself on the back here .... but I did the same thing 16 months ago for my hard working electrician son last year. His Suhr was a classic T in butterscotch blonde with the SSCI noise reduction system. He has always made me pretty proud because of his great work ethic, and in the great scheme of life, any musical instrument is a great gift !!!

That's a beautiful guitar. Your son has good taste and sounds like you raised him to be a good person. Kudos to you both!

    That's nice!
Speaking of Super Strats (real ones) There's a nice looking vintage one on the local Craig's List for $500 + with case. It amazes me how these guitars come up from time to time for about that. I bought one from original owner with hang tags etc a couple years back for $500. Doubled my money on Ebay.
