How about something from our friends at GreasyGroove across the north border in Canada...

------------------------------------------

I am considering one of the new Squier Affinity Telecasters in Lake Placid Blue ($249.99) and a laurel FB... (they come with a white PG)...

Then the addition of a Tort PG for $9.99 from STRATosphere...

They have quite a choice and selection of Tort from dark brown to light red and every shade in between...

I'm going for a look w/ the Lake Placid Blue, something like this... I favor the brownish tint one... but reddish tint looks good, too... my idea is/was that in order to make the color brown, it is a mixture of all 3 primary colors (red, yellow, blue)... blue being one of them... so brownish and blue go good together (to me)

To my eyes for your 2 guitars... the tort pulls color specs from the tort that match with the sort of yellow tint of the finish... whereas it seems the white PG makes the FB dots and the control cover to step out... maybe better to display against a non-red background (like the case's red)... BOTH are great... but the white PG pops more color from the rest of the guitar...

IMHO, just about any color PG (creme, mint, black, etc) would work w/ that guitar's finish... or something wild from GreasyGroove (see link in post above)

Look at the post above with the two LPB Teles. He's inadvertently solved OP's dilemma. Brown tort is what's needed, not red tort!

I like the Tortoiseshell with specific colors. However, on white or off white, I think the white looks better.
