Doesn't that guard have a nickname? "1966 Southern California Restaurant Table" or something like that.

Cherry burst on a Fender is always wrong.

If it has a rosewood board, Id love all of them, but i voted aged cherry because that color seem to blend well with a one piece maple neck

I like the cherry burst with binding. Something very cool about it.

Personally I'd choose Aquamarine Metallic, Autumn Blaze, or Butterscotch before any of the OPs choices.

Yes, a burst finish is ubiquitous.....
just like denim jeans, tweed amps, and dark sunglasses.

*edit* I think the cherry and blue would look better with a darker neck, but the classic 3 tone burst has that bit of black to highlight the lighter maple necks. I’m one of those “lighter colors pair best with darker necks” and “ darker colors pair best with lighter necks”. The exception to this, of course, are blondes which are timeless icons and look perfect because of the (essential) black guard to make it pop. My opinion..

What a fun thread and interesting reasons by the posters. To me, I gotta see some wood grain, so the blue falls out immediately. The 3 burst is rather ordinary. I think the cherry burst gets a bad rap from Gibson/Epiphone that look very clownish to me, but the higher end aged cherry burst teles and strats look awesome in person. On top of that, not being a Fender binding fan, I think the cherry burst in this circumstance looks very classy, so it gets my vote.

Since there are more guitars than sides of a coin, you could try this random number generator between 1&3.

Or you could do what some unethical person on another forum did, order all three play them and send back the two you don't like.

PS. When I tried the number generator it chose Cherry Burst.

I had an Am Dlx in Cherry with a rosewood board. Looked very nice. Nicer than your picture...
