Classic 3-tone wins my heart!
Also I like the "normal" pickguard better.
I really like the Cherry Burst, but that pickguard has to go.
BTW - I like the cherryburst, my wife does not. All three of my guitars are burst (three color Strat, two color Tele, greyburst acoustic), but not by choice - just kind of an odd coincidence. I might go satin ice for something different.
OK, I'll play - what color guard for the cherry burst?
There’s always the AmPro in Sonic Grey. I absolutely love the color. Sometimes it is grey other times blue. Looks awesome with maple.
Between the three, I prefer the corny, er, cherryburst.
Thanks for asking.
I thought that also at first but it is growing on me... it looks like it makes it scratch resistant
I doubt it will be your only guitar. I said the same thing five guitars ago. Corny Cherry Burst for me.
I agree pictures don't always capture the true color and i would like to own any one of them. I do agree satin might get shiny where your arm rests on the guitar but your arm will cover that area so you won't see it while your playing. I got idea.... pretend they are in a burning building and you only got time to save one. Then witch one do you pick? there is no bad choice any American elite is awesome in my book
I have been playing for like 25 years with the exception of the last 3 when I sold all my gear.
I have had two guitars at most simultaneously and ended selling the one I didn’t like at the moment.
My rule has always have been “one guitar only”. I am a minimalist.
Blue without the pearl guard
I could be happy with either my American Special Tele or Road Worn 50s Tele only for sure.
But even with five guitars this community still considers me a minimalist. Thank you TDPRI.
Sunburst should have a rosewood fretboard and a black guard.
Cherry burst is a Les Paul colour.
The blue is gorgeous though.
Has to be the ice blue, as black isn't an option & I don't like sunburst finishes.
Sunburst is for Strats & LP's.
I like them all, you can not go wrong here. If you don't like the satin finish, it's not a biggy to polish it up, I've done several with Meguiars polish.
Hell… I am considering getting another strat and I DON’T NEED IT! More strings, more set-ups, and I already have a strat that’s all I want. Damn GAS! Now, we were talking about that blonde strat weren’t we? Oh no sorry… Ice Blue Metallic Tele. Looks really nice. With a different pickguard but that’s a few bucks. Carry on, don’t mind me!
I like blue. Burst is good too, not a fan of the other. An odd thought but maybe imagine how it looks with clothes you typically wear when you gig as well. Sunburst might more versatile if you wear bright colors.
Three tone burst, if only because it’s fitted with a sensible guard, i.e., not pearl.
To me the Ice Blue Metallic is non descriptive and boring. That would be my third choice.
The three tone looks like a lot of guitars.
The Cherry Burst is the only distinctive one among the three and is what caught my eye when I saw it. Further, mine has a distinctive grain pattern just superior and posterior to the Bridge which I've not seen on any other in shops I visit. In fact that makes the Website Cherry Burst photo a bit plain to me
It's the best guitar I ever played and I can't stop playing it or talking about it.
TDPRI helped me choose it.
