I've never given "getting old" much thought. And at 73, I'm still just taking it a day at a time, as I always have. I do have several guitars now that I thought I'd never own, and time to enjoy them. So when I do get feeling old, maybe I'll have time to think about how much fun this hobby has given me.

I hoped for all kinds of stuff. I didn't think I'd be divorced, living in a damn small flat and in lousy health.

I never gave much thought to going bald. It just happened. The weight annoys me, but not that much.

One nice thing that seems to be happening more the older I get, is that people, especially younger people, seem to think I'm a nice person. I can't tell you how surprised and gratified I am by that.

    I'm also a great dad.

So on balance I don't mind being bald and fat.

    Among the pearls of wisdom:

"I drink four cups of coffee every morning. This morning I drank that much whiskey''

''Good to have a spiritual life, but you gotta live it''

''I may give out but I'll never give up''

Thanks for posting. That vid is inspirational.

My dad and all of his brothers lost most of their hair by about age 25. I must have skipped that gene, because at almost 64 I still have one heck of a fast growing thick mop that both of my sisters envy to no end.:) Unfortunately, the ear and nose hairs are catching up and no one warned me about this.

My weight fluctuates, and I grew through my hair
I weight varies between 175-200 pounds.
    Presently, I’m about 180.
    My “fighting” weight is 160.
I need a new Bowflex, and access to a swimming pool.
I’d still be homely, but buff.

Same thing here. Dad and both brothers started thinning hairs mid 30's. I'm 66, full head of hair! I rate in the middle for best body mass index. That I had to work on!! I wear 20-30" waist pants now.

    edit: oops! thats 29-30"
